STUDIO + MEDITATION
   WING

HiiH.2006

Inspired by the great beauty, texture and history of Vietnamese hand crafted paper lamps, this art studio and meditation wing will bring a great quality of light, space, contemplation, scent and tactility to a wonderful home.

The proposed design will be defined through a series of hand-laid masonry walls, and then enveloped in a woven lattice of small steel rods.  The exterior will be created much like a surfboard, by fiberglassing over the array of steel to create a variation of opaque and translucent UV resistant skins.
