ALBERTA 100

In honor of the 100th Alberta Street Art Walk, this momentary installation of 100 'big sticks' just 100 feet North of Fredrick Zal's home in the Alberta Arts District.
The spaces existed for only four hours, a mere blink in time, a shear moment to explore again an everyday space: common, overlooked and unimagined.

The sculptural installation is an exploration of spatial ideas at a human scale, so that people may engage the space, walk amidst it, peer up at the sky through its filter, play upon, dance within and simply perceive an everyday space in a new manner. I have been exploring these ideas architecturally for years within a published theory of Land|Form space, but I am continually looking to refine and augment their experiential nature, simplicity of construction, and kinetic potential.
